“I remember going to that first follow-up meeting ready to say, ‘We’ve got too much going on, I’m about to have a third baby, and I’m just going to bow out gracefully. And, then I ended up being the retreat director for the next team for the whole year. That was one of my favorite things about my faith journey at that time, being on that women’s team and interacting with other women from our parish who weren’t exactly in the same phase of life as me, who had all had different experiences that strengthened their faith. It was just a built-in network of friendship and faith that was really meaningful. It still is."
